Sierra Information Services will present three seminars in Washington,
DC in mid-November. They are:
* TREATMENT OF MISSING DATA VIA MULTIPLE IMPUTATION AND MAXIMUM
LIKELIHOOD by Paul Allison, Ph.D., Professor and Chair, Dept. of
Sociology, Univ of Pennsylvania. This two-day seminar, on November 12
and 13, presents a rigorous introduction to the treatment of missing
data, and emphasizes the uses of SAS/STAT tools such as PROCs MI and
MIANALYZE to address various types of missing data. Attendees receive a
full set of course notes PLUS a complimentary copy of Dr. Allison's
book, _Missing Data_ (Sage, 2001)
* THE SAS(R) OUTPUT DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR DATA ANALYSISTS AND
STATISTICIANS, by Andrew Karp, Sierra Information Services, is for users
of the analytic parts of the SAS System who want to see what ODS can do
for them to save time, reduce programming steps and improve the visual
appeal of their output. Presented on November 11, 2004, this session is
suited for anyone who is tired of cutting and pasting SAS
Procedure-generating output from the Output Window to other
file types, and who wants to reduce the amount of time spent manually
intervening in their analysis/reporting processes. Updated with the
latest tools available in SAS 9.1. Attendees received a full set of
course notes, and a CD with example programs + additional materials.
* GETTING THE MOST FROM SAS 9 SOFTWARE shows you the new features added
in BASE SAS Software that you can put to use right away in your projects
and programs. You will see the new Data Step functions, including PERL
Regular Expressions, enhancements to existing procedures, new PROCs, and
enhancement to SAS Output Delivery System. Offered on November 15,
2004, attendees receive a full set of course notes and a CD with
additional materials.
All of these events will be presented at the Johns Hopkins University's
Washington, DC Center at 1625 Mass Ave. NW. Pay-your-own parking is
avaialble in the building garage, and the facility is easily accessible
via Metrorail. Tuition includes a light continental breakfast, deli
