I am having a hard time understanding how one can arrive at the num. of
deg. of freedom for checking the indepedence of random variables using
the chi sq. method. Say, if I need to establish the indepedence between
P (A|B , C) and P (A|B) ; and further if A,B,C can take 2 values , how
many degs of freedom would I need?
Any comments would be appreciated!
