jettizen?? I couldn't believe it myself when I saw it! :-)
A quick check using google revealed that I used the word jettison
in FIVE newsgroup threads ainxw 1992, and never misspelled it before.
It's obvious I don't use spell-checkers as I post directly from
groups.google.com and it doesn't spell-check anything. Most of
the time the typos are harmless because no one would misunderstand
the context. Besides, it's good for the Spelling Cops on the
internet to have something to bash me about, since they usually
don't understand what I post anyway. :-)
All this lead to my serious question about my "Keyboard Devil".
Recently, I've encountered this on BOTH of my laptops running
Windows-XP:
I would be typing a sentence and sometimes the curser would
jump to the middle of a line/word several lines away -- and
I have to make the necessary corrections to what the devil did,
and resume where I left off ... and then the devil would do it
again.
Has ANYONE ELSE encountered this phenomenon in using Windows XP?
I suspect it's peculiar to the combination of laptops and Windows XP.
It's getting to be increasingly aggrevating, and that's why I am
taking this opportunity to make this OT post to see if one of you
computer experts can tell me what the devil is my keyboard devil
doing and how I may eliminate that random-jump behavior of the cursor.
Thanks.
