I suppose your googled exhibits confirmed that the reason
attributed to SAS was indeed an Urban Legend, because there
wasn't any official statement by Jim Goodnight or SAS to
that effect?

At any rate, I get your point. And my point was simply that I
didn't think the choice of hierarchy name was a SAS decision,
for the reason attributed to SAS.

It was supported by Una Smith, but still not a SASA position.
It was a trifle hardly worth the parts pf two posts that had
gone into it.
So this is my last on the subject of SAS, but will gladly
continiue any discussion on the NEW subject of "Things about
NEWSGROUPS you never thought to ask" I posted.
