Okay the fact that people have tried to write such programs suggest that they too see such a need for such a program.

Anyway getting back to the real world we what we have now, can any suggest a book or URL for a step by step example of how to solve using least squares on the equation using R

Results = b0 + b1 * var1 + b2 * var2 + b3 * var3 ... + bn * varn

Try chapter 11 of An Introduction to R, or some of the other documentation on CRAN (http://cran.r-project.org/), including the contributed documentation.
