I must admit that curiosity baited me into looking at this thread
for the FIRST time, in over 500 posts. What could a topic whose
subject made no sense in the first place, generated such a lengthy
discussion in sci.stat.math?
After reading the initial post by the OP, and another post or two
following it, and skipping to the present one, I came to the
conclusion that the thread must taken a tortuous route of tangents,
hyperbole, and devine wisdom to have reached this point:

Ah yes. And Moses had tied his ass on a tree and walked 7 miles
to deliver his words from God, thus proving that the skin is the
most ELASTIC substance on one's body, a wonderous creation.
