confidence interval

Hi everyone,


I wonder if anyone can help me with how to compute a confidence
interval for a "total" value? Let's say I have a series of size N with
mean X-bar and standard deviation S. How do we calculate the
confidence interval for all the observations in the series, i.e.,
x1+x2+...+xN?
