pseudorandom reordering

I have a piece of hardware that is reordering a set of numbers. lets
say it is shuffling a deck of cards from the same initial sequence.

What I am after is method to quantify the performance of the hardware,
ie How random is it? I have many variables to my hardwrae I can tweak
and I want a statistical methos of analysing the results.

Thanks
