Without realizing

When we have ONE post in which Bob says one bit
of useful result on Statistics and Probability.
He couldn’t understand that when I write
__1 = (1-p)^k + p(1) + p(2) + …+ p(k)
p(j) = probability to have j successes out of k trials
the 1 on left is the result of [(1-p) + p]^k under the conditions
________0<p<1________k>1
Resulting that the probability to have at least ONE success is
__p(at least 1 success) =
= p(1) + … + p(k) = 1- (1-p) ^k
Yes, I made a typo but everyone (which by definition is a lot less stupid than Bob) noticed.
Serious are the errors and ill-understandings about Probability concepts Bob repeatable makes without realizing them.
