Re: Google Group scistatmath

I have started a Google newsgroup "scistatmath" devoted to
mathematical statistics,

I, the list owner, have the ability to remove members and to remove
off-topic messages.

I was reading some of the recent past threads and came across one
titled "Welcome to sci.stat.math" with two posters, where the OP
said he read the DIGEST version of the group and on Oct 25 there
where 3 posts with m00es in the subject and 0 post discussing
statistics.

I found that rather odd, since I have at least half a dozen posts
everyday discussing statistics even when m00es was making
plenty of noise with "m00es" in the subject title.

So, I went back to October 25, and Google found 19 threads,
NONE with "m00es" in the subject, and m00es was the poster
in only one of the 19.

I couldn't find that "Welcome to sci.stat.math" thread when I went
back to Google again. So, the author must have withdrawn it
during the time I was doing my Google search in review.

So, I am coming back to THIS thread of beliavsky announcing his
scistatmath.

When I did a search of the STATISTICS about the two groups at
present, I found that there are not 18 subcribers to scistatmath,
while there are 1926 subscribers to sci.stat.math.

There are exactly TWO threads in the past 6 days, with subjects
that suggest a first course level topic, such as Type I error and
normal distribution, which are hardly topics in "mathematical
statistics".

I was HOPING all the noise makers in sci.stat.math would leave
and join scistatmath. They possibly MIGHT have, with the
exception of Luis A. Afonso.

I am GLAD that Beliavsky created that forum, because I can now
tell any complainer about the NOISE in sci.stat.math or OT topics
to join Beliavsky's creation -- run by a dictator who can censor
anybody, and who is a nonstatistician. UTOPIA for the Quacks
of sci.stat.math who get exposed and criticized in THIS forum.
