I'm wondering what the Odds of Winning Klondike Solitaire are? I
certainly don't win very often, maybe 1 in 10. I've found a couple
discussions on the Internet and Usenet groups. Has anyone been able
to calculate this exactly with proof?
A theory and simulation on the odds:

A simulation of a related game:

You presumably know that this discussed here.

Wikipedia sayshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klondike_(solitaire):
"The proportion of Klondike games that can be won is currently unknown. No
mathematical model simple enough to allow direct computation of this
probability has yet been found."

Although no proof is provided, I think Wikipedia needs to be updated
with that discussion as it seems a reasonable guess in the right
direction.
