Unfortunately I do not think so:
The *notation* H0: m1=m2 , for me, means something like
____m1 n.s.d. f.. m2
n. s. d. f. is * NO SIGIFICANTLY DIFFERENT FROM *
Because we did agree that the null could not be proved true I think that the *equality* gives the wrong idea that the algebraic equality could ever be found exact. This is a nickpick, I easily admit, but facing a so great confusion in this point I think that a change on notation would be really welcomed.
Surely every science has its own *jargon*...
