Re: Afonso's little tantrum...

Richard ULRICH

1) I am not referring to an obscure Theorem only known by a small amount of people. If it was the case I never would claim Tomsky incompetence to criticize (harshly) the results that I posted here.
2) I do not intend (of course) Tomsky knows all results of Theoretical Statistics
3) The name *Glivenko* should very well be unknown by Tomsky but *Cantelli* how could he never met if he his a (self-called repeatedly) an expert in statistics?
4) I am full sure that Tomsky teachers (as he was a student) did not fail to mention and emphasize the importance of the Theorem. It is, *simply*, the *Frequencist School of Statistics* basis! Not something unimportant.
5) In Applied Research we try not to be sloppy, on contrary our concern in exactitude is a second nature. Other characteristic, this crucial, is to be aware of the relationship among the different concepts and results in order that all the *drama’s plot * be present in our minds as clear as possible.
6) This feature in completely contrary of the *list of authors* that, seemly, is the academic’s main (exclusive?) concern.
7) If I had found in this News a not aggressive practice, I, surely, had a completely different behavior. I never start a *war* but I do not fail to react if attacked, as it is expected from humans.
