Klaus, You made some good points! However I have seen and held in my hands
Friday a Leica disposable knife dispenser that said "Made in USA". Now the
ones sold in the USA are made in Nussloch (I'll remember the spelling!).
The one I held was made at the Gillete plant in Virginia or at the American
Safety Razor plant. The other odd thing is the old, made in the US, blades
were about 4mm shorter. The new, German ones, are longer and the details on
the back side are different. My customer and I are confused, to say the
least.

I'll bet that we're both right. Probably the ones sold in the US were made
in the US and the ones sold in Europe are made in Europe. Now the plant is
larger so they only sell the European ones. In the past there have been
shortages in the US since Gillete would only make one run per year.

Thanks!
