David:

Sorry ;-)

I started in January 1972 with light microscopy. At that time, there
was no Internet with so many discussions about microscopy. So, I had
plenty of time for "active" microscopy.

Today, if I had to start with this hobby, I would first distance
myself a little to secure the time needed to acquire enough knowledge
and experience. For how long? I don't know. After a while, I would
reconnect.
