Good posts! The core point here is that HBO mercury lamps produce tons of
light in peaks. If one of the peaks works for you, like FITC, then great.
If your technique is near one of the valleys then go XBO. If your doing
metallurgical then XBO since it looks like a quartz-halogen but a lot
brghter.
