I'll be interested in any posts here also; I just bought a EOS Rebel XT
for use on my microscopes and telescopes (upgraded from a Nikon Coolpix
4500). I've only made a few test shots using an eyepiece for what I
think might be called "afocal projection"?? The pictures came out fine
(via a Zeiss Axiostar with CP Achromats), but I haven't done any
expeimenting with settings, or with "direct projection-no eyepiece"
(??). As a hobbiest, I'm particularly interested in whether I may need
Zeiss' SLR projection tube/lens accessory (it's expensive, I'd have to
sell my microscope to buy it). The EOS Digital Rebel series of cameras
are used extensively by backyard astonomers, and, while photographic
issues in microscopy differ somewhat from astonomy, there are numerous
articles about the camera line in astrronomy magazines and websites.
