Always difficult to be absolutely sure what people mean by such generic names as "naphtha", but in its commonly understood usage it would mean a distillation cut of hydrocarbons mostly very similar to heptane. Highly inflammable, of course, and with a mildly narcotic effect, but not known to be especially dangerous relative to other volatile organics. Aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene are generally more dangerous. Actually, I use toluene, rather less toxic than benzene, and less volatile (but still dries out pretty quickly).

Preferably, clean with 70% Ethanol
You want a non-polar solvent, like naphtha.
You don't want to be dead either. Naptha is a bit more dangerous than alchol or my favorite heptane. Its just hard to get heptane.
