Leitz Laborlux question....

having just put my hands on a Laborlux 11, I am in the process of
cleaning it up and locating a few missing parts.
What sort of condenser is on this microscope? There is a part
affixed to the base over the lamp. It has several glass elements and
an iris type adjustable apature. there is a second part affixed to the
underside of the stage, which also has an iris and several lenses. The
part on the stage sort of snaps into place, and moves up and down with
the stage. Is it left in place at the uppermost position? of the few
times I have used "professional" microscopes, the condenser moves on
its own rack and pinion via a knob. What is the proper way to use the
condenser on this one?
thanks for any help,
AL
