Re: Moving from Used to New... ... people visiting this group who know how to repair a defective scope.... It is incorrect to associate eBay with any good Leitz and Zeiss scope....microscope market and have no idea what's available and what's worth ... (sci.techniques.microscopy)

I have a Leitz Periplan 10x from a decade or so ago ... that has the proper threads on it, and an older Zeiss "thin top flange" 8x ... that now has the proper threads cut into the upper flange. ... Re: Nikon, Leica, or Zeiss? ... Axiostar (the Axiostar and Axiostar Plus are 99.9% the same scope!);... Similar used parts for older Zeiss models sell... objective with out the condenser.... I chose Olympus WHK10x 20L high eye point eyepieces rather than Zeiss ... (sci.techniques.microscopy)
