Swift doesn't make microscopes. It imports instruments and puts its name on
them. The microscope your discussing seems to be the same as a Unitron, who
actually makes it, that I am framiliar with. If it is the same there is no
way to change the mag.
I made a huge mistake about 12 years ago and agreed to do about 25 student
microscopes "built" by Swift. They looked the same from the outside but
were radically different on the inside. Some didn't take the same lamp.
In the future you might want to consider Leica, Carl Zeiss, Olympus and
Nikon. Buy a used one, try the Capovani Brothers (www.capvani.com).
