Gary,

Thanks for the feedback. I am primarily observing and identifying things
but I would like to photograph the result. I am not stuck on using the
Canon to get the images. May I ask how it is done (e.g. screencapture?) and
how much you think I'll need to spend?

Can I sneak in another question? I see that some of the stereo zooms have
high mag capability. I am interested in seeing protozoans as well. Is a
stereo scope that is capable of 2-400x an acceptable combo alternative to
buying both a low mag stereo and a compound?
