Adjusting Binocular head on Zeiss GFL

We would like to adjust the binocular ocular lens "alignment" and we
noted a small round engraved disc with a series of numbers between the
two eyepieces. Is this the place to make an adjustment? We would like
to make the twin eyepiece images merge as one.

What is the best way to do this? Any assistance greatly appreciated.
As it is, basically there are two separate images, and we have been
viewing only the content of the right ocular.

Thanks for all the previous assistance! We really appreciate it. We
did not want to try anything until we had some expert advice!
