Re: Nikon S-KE

Interesting reply. I just got a mint Nikon CF photo eyepiece from them for
just $25. Something that regularly lists for around $100 on eBay. You may
have been unlucky and received a reply from their nightshift ;-)

Dear GTO,

I already had contacted the site you suggested. I attach their negative
reply:

Wed o not and cannot find parts for Nikon. So we are unable to help.
Thank You for visiting www.MicroscopesFromNightingale.com

It does not seem to be that easy to find spare parts for Nikon
microscopes,
even if the instrument in question was once one of their flagships.

You may want to try MicroScopes from Nightingale. They have many spare
parts
and also do service and repair. Their URL is

Good Day,

I own a Nikon SK-E microscope with polarizing attachments.

1.) Unfortunately the fine focus no longer works very well. Does
anybody
have any suggestions how this can be fixed and where one can get
the spare part consisting of the nylon ring with teeth driving the fine
focus mechanism.

2.) Does anybody know where one can get parts for this microscope
such as trinocular heads or the halogen lamp housing?

3.) Does anybody know how the polarizing eyepieces, designated by
P are constructed. Are they plane achromats identical to the plane
achromats
used for brightfield observation, only chosen to be strainfree?

Thank you for any suggestions.

G. R.
