Nikon microscope/instrument

In a weak moment, I bought a nikon "device" off LabX. Unfortunately,
there is absolutely nothing to identify what it is. No name, other than
Nikon, no number, no identifying marks. labels, etc. I'm stumped. It is
obviously some sort of microscope/optical device and very well made. It
was once part of a medical lab according to an old inventory sticker.
There is a holder mounted over an inverted objective (possibly a
condensor?) that projects an image up to a screen with a circular
degrees pattern. Projected onto the circular pattern is a green
cross-like projection that rotates as you rotate a 0-360 degree knob
below the objective. Below the circular pattern is another small screen
that has a scale from +25 to -25. The green cross is only in focus at
the 0 position of this scale.
If any of this rings a bell with anyone, please let me know what this
thing is.
Thanks.
