Well, at risk of being loughed at, I would solve the problem by getting a
step-down
transformer 220 to 110 Volts. This will add one more box to your setup, but
will not
require any modification of the original equipment, be inexpensive and could
be done
by anybody who knows how to connect electrical wires.

I have a Vickers 4-lens turret 1000x oil immersion microscope that has a
variable power illuminator and power source that's configured for European
use. I would like to convert the illuminator and power source to standard
US 110 volt. Does anyone know how or where this can be done?
We're an animal rescue group in NJ.
Any advice will be deeply appreciated.
