Dr. Hells of the Max Plank Inst. at Goettingen in Germany has provided us
with a new theory of microscopy. In theory you can go as small as you want.
Take a look at this site
(www.wissenschaft-online.de/gbm/fall05/homepage/abstract_detail.php?artikel_id=1142)
This is soooo neat. There are sites all over with more info. I'm just
starting out in this area but he is producing images in the 50 nm to 70nm
routine range with a best of 16 nm. Now thats cool!
The best thing is the new equation :?x ? ? ? (2 n sin? ?(1+I ? Isat)), a
really neat addition to the Abbe Equation.
Thanks,
Kevin Cunningham
