I am wondering whether we can use Kimwipe Ex-L (instead of expensive
microfiber cloths) wetted with Isopropanol or methanol to clean our LCD

I'd sure take a look at the performance. I'd be real tempted to use a cross
of Windex and alcohol. This mixture lasts until wiped clean, it is a two
stage process but it might work quite well.
