We use toiletpaper on our planapos. No kidding, no problem.

Just don't use it dry on lenses.

Rene.

I prefer Kimwipes to lens tissue, only because it is more absorbent.
I've been using Edmunds cleaning fluid with the wipes, and have had no
problems with it.

BTW, Kevin (and anyone else): what do you think of using the microfiber
cloths, either wet or dry. I know it's important to keep the cloth
clean (grit-free); assuming that, are they acceptable, especially for
wiping the top lens of oculars? I've been using them for that purpose
on my stereo scopes with no apparent problems.

Joe

Joe, Its real important to clean wet. Dry with anything will scratch. The
top lens of oculars is no less critical than any other part of the optical
train. Just clean wet. Then wipe the what ever dry from the center out.

A microfiber wipe would be good by Kimwipes are cheap, easy to get and easy
to use. What a deal!
