I have a CK, and it's nice, but somewhat limited. As someone else
mentioned, it only has coarse focusing, so use of objectives over 20x
is difficult. Also, in my opinion, the light source is not bright
enough, especially for higher power phase contrast--I usually use mine
fully cranked up (I'm looking for alternative bulbs - it uses a basic
single-contact bayonet mount). Having said this, it's still a good,
inexpensive low-power inverted scope, with Olympus quality throughout.
It uses a removeable, single-power phase insert, at the bottom of the
condenser. If you are interested, I'd sell my 10x centerable insert
and phase 10x objective set for a reasonable price; $40.00 including
shipping (they're in excellent shape). Good Luck.

I am considering buying an Olympus CK microscope.
I havd searched the archives looking for information on this microscope
but have found nothing. Does anyone know where any documentation for
this scope is on line?
Also, could I get your opinion as to this scope?
How was phase capability implemented?
Thanks
