Re: Olympus AX70 Microscope

I went back to buy the AX70 after I got the money but it was already sold. I
heard that AX70 parts are expensive.

They are asking $2000 for the AX70. The AX70 comes with a CCD camera and
objectives.

I don't know much about the AX70 microscope. The Olympus BH2 series
microscopes seem to be good microsccopes.

AX70?? I'd be more concerned about the objectives than the BX-series
stage. A stage is probably about $300. The objectives are a big
issue as are the rest of the system. Caveat emptor.

What price does the seller want?

$2000 is an unusually low price. The AX70 is an infinity system
whereas the BH2 is 160mm tube length and is no longer manufactured.
See what objectives it has and other attachments (lamp house, trinoc
head, etc.) and probably snap it up quickly. If it was used for
fluorescense, then possibly one or more objectives are going to need
replacement.
