Hi,
some 160/- will work. The 40x of Leica, for example, will give a sharp
section in the middle and be not sharp in the outer sections.
So stay away from these, if they are not for free.
I suggest, you forget about multiple objectives and buy "One" good one.
If you like oil, take a 40x oil or a 63x oil. Consider water immersion!
Look at the NA. This means "resolution".
A 25x imm clearly outperforms a 40x dry. Maybe that's what you want.
