Does anybody know where can I buy a didymium filter in the UK?
I am interested in increasing contrast in H&E images.
I am planing to use this with an Olympus BX50.
Would any filter do (i.e. between the light and the condenser) or should I
look for one that goes in the small analyzer slot?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

You can get one from Olympus, Inc. I don't know the mailing address in
England but try "Olympus in England" or try "microscope filters in England"
on Google. In the old days that filter would be US$80. The best place is
over the field lense on the base. That well is designed for filters. Don't
use the analyser position, there might be some distortion.
Thanks,
