Hello all,
I am director of a non-profit organization that is here to promote
science education with middle- and high-school students. We accept
research proposals from students, then allow them to do their own
self-directed (With supervision and guidance) research using our lab
facility, so long as they provide a complete write-up after completion
of their project.
We recently received a donation of a scanning electron microscope, but
no sample prep equipment, and a broken image capture system. So, if
anybody has any old digital image acquisition stuff hanging around (I
can handle really old stuff if need be...) or sample prep equipment
(Critical point dryer, sputter coater, etc...) please let me know! We
have a small budget (Read: "Whatever change I can get out of the sofa
in the teachers' lounge.") but we have had some great successes
already with students experiencing that "Eureka!" moment for
themselves.
Thanks,
Justin A. Kraft
