I am in the process of purchasing a digital camera for a stereo-zoom
microscope. I have price quotes in my price range (low end) for an
Imaging Planet 1.4 MPX (CCD chip), PixeLink 1.3 MPX (1/2" CMOS chip),
and a Leica EC3 3.1 MPX (CMOS chip).
I would like to be able to view images on my computer monitor rather
than through the microscope eyepieces. And I would like to be able to
publish photographs in scientific journals. Your advice would be
appreciated on which is the best camera system to purchase, especially
if you have experience with one of this systems. Thank you!
