Hello,
I have only heard this through other people, and have never confirmed it
myself, but I think I remember I. Miller Microscopes having either
replacement Nikon (nylon) gears or an interchangable brass version
available.
This was some time ago, so I don't know if they'd still have them or even
if it was ever true, but it's worth a try. Their website is:
http://www.imillermicroscopes.com/
.. from that link there should be a form to fill out describing the part
you're looking for.

Dunno if anyone saw my original post via News group.....
I just picked up a vintage Nikon L-Ke (model with 5 position dove-
tail
turret) that has the broken plastic fine focusing gear. It was quite
easy
to remove. Where can I find a replacement gear? What problems would
a
metal replacement cause (as I believe there are metal replacements)?
Thank
you.- Hide quoted text -

Would it make a difference whether it was nylon or brass?
