Hi,
A word of warning. The specification of the 'scope looks good but I
would be cautious about the non-RMS standard objectives. If these
satisfy all your needs then fine. What if you wish to make additions?
Does anyone know whether there is a market in such objectives or
whether a head that takes RMS objectives could be fitted? The seller
states: "They are made quite obviously in a cost-no-object fashion",
referring to their dimensions. Being a cynic I wonder whether their
clunky size reflects the fact that East German Zeiss wasn't as capable
of precision engineering as West German Zeiss; does anyone care to
comment?
