To help focus more on this subject, I am posting it as a separate
discussion.
I wish to acquire sets of slides of various subjects for viewing.
The "various subjects" is a broad stroke because of my many interests.
What is the best approach to do this for money, quality and time.
How did you acquire your collections?
Thanks

Some surplus dealers also occasionally have prepared slide sets for
sale.
For example, the optics dealer, Surplus Shed www.surplusshed.com
currently has several for sale.
Their Item M2719 is a set of five plant slides from Cambridge
Instruments for $9.99.
Their items M2831, M2834, M2835, and M2836 are sets of ten slides from
Konus for $12.99.
Look for these items and other stuff in the Item Quick Find box under
Microscopes.
Also, American Science & Surpluswww.sciplus.comcurrently lists two
sets of a dozen slides for $12.99. One, #91707 is bacteria, and the
other, #92954 is microorganisms.
They also have two other sets for $18.95, of mammals #93289 and
amphibians #93290.
See their Microscopes & Accessories category under Optics.
