Again, there are used 'scopes to pick from, there is no advantage for
an amateur to buy new. I just got on the web site for Spectra
Services, I happen to know them so I'm predjudiced, they have tons of
under $1000 stereos, things like Olympus and Nikon, well built and in
really good condition. This is kinda like buying a car, you usually
get a better deal buying used.
