ID glassy particle

Any idea what this particle is?

I found it after mixing up some protein powder bought at Costco. I noticed a
whitish clump floating that didn't mix in. (I had noticed similar clumps
before) When I pressed the clump between my fingers it separated into
shimmering planar pieces like the one above so I put it under the
microscope. I'm concerned about drinking anymore of the stuff.
