Re: Nikon & Zeiss black finish

Hi,

Concerning Nikon they are not helpfull in Japan, I've sent two emails asking
the reference of the grey paint for the actual SMZ800 series and I'm still
waiting since more than a month!
I need to repaint the stand of my SMZ800 binocular which is scratched
heavily.
If somebody can help...

Hi Dennis,
why don't you ask zeiss directly? They have always been kind when I
addressed questions to them about old objectives etc... so why not try
out?
From old prospects it seems to be not enamel but paint.
With the nikons I can`t help..
