Hi,

I've just rescued a Olympus SZ Microscope (I believe a SZ-3).

I've bought new eyepieces as these were missing, but have discovered
two problems:

- The focal points of the eyepieces is different
- There appears to be vertical parallax error (I think this
terminology is correct) - the image in each eyepiece is at a different
level.

Could someone recommend how to correct these problems?

Thank you in advance!

Nils

Nils, You need to be specific about which SZ 'scope you have. Now
the first thing is are the eyepieces Olympus and are they the ones
specified for the SZ? If not, you have problems. With an SZ-3 you
don't need focusing eyepieces, each tube focus's separately. These
tubes should be just about at the -0- mark, I have seen SZ-3's with
badly frozen tubes. I need to know if you have this problem.

Let us know what's goin' on!
