Hello,
I am wondering, where can I find geological thin sections that don't
have cover slips? I want to use them for both light microscopy and
scanning electron microscopy (for backscatter detection). I've checked
I am specifically looking for a porphyritic basalt. I've checked the
ward's catalog, and they all have cover slips. I have a thin section,
perhaps if there isn't any way to order a slide, someone knows the
best way to remove the glued on cover slip?

You don't happen to know the glue used? Many glues can be removed by
the use of white gasoline (naphtha). If you can determine the glue involved,
there will be solvents.
