better still, has anone any recipes/references to offer? Staurax is
made from Gum Styrax aka liquidamber, but I have no more details.
There appear to be some organic liquids, phenol or naphtha based with
high RIs, and some types of high vacuum oil as used in EM pumps seem
to have a RI in the region of 1.69, which might make an interesting
though messy (or fluid mount) for diatoms. Any views on this, please?
