Will try. Another solution is to have it rebuilt by a gear making company
but it may be more expensive than the microscope itself.

Yeah, I once ordered a whole 5 gears from a maker in Italy. They
laughed till they fell over. They told me that they would give me 5
gears if I bought there minimum order of 1,000. I politely declined.
Some were in Italy they are still laughing at me.

Could you do me a favor and send me and the rest of the group the info
on the gear company? Thats really interesting. I like the SM-Lux so
I'd be tempted but use your own judgment.
