Hi folks,
My Watson "Standard Metallurgical" microscope arrived today.
Unfortunately there's a problem with it: the semi-silvered mirror is
missing. It looks like the mirror would have been an oval piece of
glass about 1/32" thick. The frame and clips which would have held the
glass are present. I'm going to call the seller tomorrow to discuss
the problem, but before I do, does anyone know how readily semi-
silvered glass or plastic is available? Or are ready-cut oval mirrors
available? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Best wishes,
Chris
Hi Chris
http://www.knightoptical.co.uk sell half silvered mirrors. I use a
piece for a simple beam splitter for flash photomicrography. They may
cut to order.
