I have been trying to find a test slide with line pairs, or star
pattern with sufficiently fine line spacing to make CTF measurements
on a 20x/40x brightfield microscope system (0.75 na, ~600nm).
Preferably the form factor would be a standard 1"x3" slide. In the
past I have used a Richardson test slide#80111 which contains
alternating line patterns at 500 lp/mm, 1000 lp/mm, 2000 lp/mm. This
worked well but these no longer seem to be available. Richardson-tech
seems to have dropped off the map as with it's predecessors, Bio-
microtech. Edmund optics sells slides, including ronchi rulings but
only up to 600 lp/mm.

I am not looking for a diatom-like solution because I want a solution
that is quantitative and repeatable across multiple instances of a
test slide.

If anyone can share experience /advice in this area it would be
greatly appreciated.

Go to Klarmann Rulings web site (www.reticles.com/). They have just
about every thing you can think of involving reticules, including
measuring slides. These slides can be NIST certified if needed.
Prices are rather reasonable all thing considered.

Thanks Kevin. I had a look at Klarmann but they do not have any
rulings or star patterns. They mainly stock scales and grids for
assessing magnification/distortion. So, if anyone knows where to find
patterns in the 1000 lp/mm domain please let me know...

FYI to anyone following this thread...I ended up ordering a MRS-4
reference from Geller MicroAnalytical
(www.gellermicro.com)
