Hi Joe,
Sorry for the tardy reply; I don't check in here very often as the
group is less active than the Yahoo one.
I have not attempted to disassemble the Junior.
The objectives are seemingly plain silver coloured (chrome?) metal. I
intend to take some photo's of the Junior and post them on my Picasa
page along with some images taken through it. My page is at:
http://picasaweb.google.com/selwyn.stleger
When I get round to it, other commitments at present, I shall notify
the Yahoo group and this one.
Regards,
Selwyn

Hi, glad to hear from you (and thanks for doing the legwork on the
history of the Junior). Have you tried getting to the underside of the
intermediate (tube) lens? There seems to be a tiny amount of dust
there, and, although the lens looks like it can be unscrewed, the
aperture stop above it doesn't look like it can be removed easily.
Are your objectives plated? I can't tell from the photo you posted.
I agree with you about the image quality; this is a great little field
scope. I'd like to see some pictures from your scope.
Joe
