So I bought the triplet:

It's ok and I like it. But, like the microscope, it's kind of hard to
use. Your eye is on a small eyepiece and the eyepiece is close to the
subject matter which struggles to get enough light.
A magnifying glass is real nice for viewing things. It's nice and big,
there's plenty of space between your subject and the magnifying glass
and your eyes and the magnifying glass and plenty of room for light to
shine on your subject. But, it doesn't magnify enough.
I tried putting two magnifying glasses together and it worked. I got
better magnification, but not enough for me.
So where does one go to get the perfect magnification thingy?
Phil
