If anyone has a setup like this, maybe you could make a quick
measurement of the thickness of the glass stage plate and post here or
contact me off-line?
I don't have the glass plate (mine is opaque phenolic type), but the depth
of the recess (*) is 0.130 inch, so I'm guessing they were using either
1/8" (a common plate glass thickness in the USA) or 3mm (0.118") thick
glass (also a common metric thickness) to be level with or slightly below
the base. The phenolic plate is 0.128" thick and is thus level or slightly
below. The recess ID is 120.8mm which would clear a plate of 120mm OD.
(*) Measured to four little pillars that the plate rests on.
